Integrations

The core @magiclane/maps-sdk package targets the browser: a TypeScript API backed by a WebAssembly rendering engine. Beyond that, the Maps SDK for TypeScript is available as a lightweight variant and framework integrations tailored to different platforms and footprints, so you can keep the same API while changing where — and how — your app runs.

  • Maps SDK Lite — a lightweight, WASM-free variant of the SDK. It implements a subset of the @magiclane/maps-sdk API with the same class names and imports, rendered by a vector-tile engine in a single self-contained JavaScript bundle.
  • React Native plugin — build native iOS and Android apps on top of the TypeScript SDK. Maps render in a native GLView component, while search, routing, positioning, and turn-by-turn navigation work just like on the web.
